Our "Girl, We Got Your Back Fund" is designed to help fill in the gap for women facing challenges and support the ability for women to prioritize their overall well-being.
We recognize that every woman deserves a safety net, no matter her background or circumstances. Your donation to this fund goes beyond dollars and cents by helping us make that a reality. It empowers us and symbolizes your commitment to provide holistic support that addresses both immediate needs and long-term wellness goals of women everywhere.

Timeline
The Well Initiative will allocate funds three times a year to support the “Girl, We Got Your Back” Fund. In order to be considered for these funds and receive them within specific timeframes, applicants need to adhere to specific submission deadlines.
March 30th Awards
If applicants are aiming to secure an award by March 30th, their applications need to be received by no later than January 1st of the same year.
June 30th Awards
To be eligible for funding with a disbursement date by June 30th, applicants are required to submit their applications by April 1st of the same year.
November 30th Awards
For individuals seeking funds with a disbursement date by November 30th, the deadline for application submission is September 1st.
Our Process to Ensure Equitable Selection:
The Well Initiative's “Girl, We Got Your Back Fund” follows a thorough selection process to ensure funds are allocated effectively to those in need. Here's the step-by-step process:

Application Submission
Individuals seeking assistance submit their applications through our website’s designated application.

Communication
Applicants are promptly informed of the decision regarding their application. Those approved are provided with details on the allocated funding amount and the process for receiving the funds.

Initial Review

Disbursement
The Well administrator reviews each application for completeness and compliance with the fund's guidelines.

Applications that are incomplete or do not meet the criteria are regrettably rejected at this stage.
Funds are disbursed directly to the applicant or the relevant service provider, depending on the nature of the situation (e.g., medical bills, educational expenses).

Categorization
Applications are categorized based on the type of support (e.g., physical health, mental health, economic relief, etc.) to better assess and address the specific needs.

Documentation and Reporting
Thorough records are kept for each application, including approvals, disbursements, and communication with applicants.

Needs Assessment
A detailed needs assessment is conducted for each eligible application. This includes:

Verification of financial information, such as monthly income, expenses, and dependents.

Evaluation of the applicant's requested funding amount within the $10 to $500 range.

Scoring and Prioritization
Applications are scored or prioritized based on a predefined set of criteria. The criteria may include financial need, emergency severity, and alignment with the fund's mission.

Priority is given to applications with the most compelling and urgent circumstances.

Member Vouching (if applicable)
If a current member of The Well Initiative vouches for the applicant, their endorsement may be considered as a factor in the selection process.

Funding Allocation
Funds are allocated to eligible applicants based on their scores or priorities, and in consideration of the available budget.

Follow-Up
After receiving assistance, applicants are encouraged to provide feedback on how the funds have impacted their situation. This feedback is valuable for assessing the effectiveness of the fund.

Compliance and Yearly Limit
To ensure that we can support a diverse pool of applicants, we ask that applicants adhere to the rule that individuals can only submit one application per year.
